I Made These Sneakers Myself

By anthony - Posted on 26 August 2008

Thanks to a tip from SpringWise today, I discovered a cool new feature from Zazzle and Keds: totally customizable sneakers. Not only can you pick the style and fabric color of each element, but you can also upload photos to be screen printed on the canvas. The interface is pretty slick, and I was able to make some stylish designs in just a few clicks. The shoes below were designed with a photo I took of some plastic flowers in my office last year. After a quick approval process, the shoes are now available for sale to the public from my Zazzle store. Cool.

This is one of the better entrants I've seen in the burgeoning MIY/customization movement, and if they ever offer men's shoes, I may be tempted to actually order them.
